Thank you for your interest in the Seeking Opportunities at Rice (SOAR) Travel Grant Application! The SOAR travel grant is designed to support rising high school seniors who are first-generation college-bound, come from limited-income families, live in rural or small-town areas, or may face barriers to visiting campus independently.

Please answer the questions in this section. A complete application form as well as a list of document submission requirements will appear based on your responses. Please review the entire application and the required submissions before you begin filling out your application to ensure you have all the necessary information on hand. You CANNOT save and return to this form, and you can only submit it once. Should you have any updates about your application after it has been submitted, please email us at soar@rice.edu.

The deadline to submit the SOAR travel grant application and all supporting documents is Friday, July 11 by 11:59 p.m. CT.

SOAR Travel Grant Application Requirements:

Your QuestBridge College Prep Scholars application, essays and recommendation letter will be utilized for your SOAR Travel Grant Application. To be eligible for the SOAR travel grant, you must also submit the following documents through this application. Please have these documents on hand prior to applying:
